Proposed Bethel Twp. Waste Transfer Station Information Repository

A proposed solid waste transfer station planned to open in western Clark County next year will expand recycling opportunities and waste disposal solutions for residents and businesses throughout the region.

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is proposing to build a $16 million transfer station at 3580 S.Dayton-Lakeview Road in New Carlisle. The facility is expected to be operational in late 2025.

The Clark County Transfer Station will serve as an integrated municipal solid waste transfer and recycling drop-off facility, including a small truck terminal and office space. Recyclable materials, such as cardboard, plastics, metal and glass, will be processed and transported to Rumpke’s Dayton material recovery facility for further processing. Waste will be consolidated and transported to one of Rumpke’s landfills for disposal every day. All material handling operations will be performed within an enclosed building, and no waste disposal will occur at the site.

The project is expected to create 40 to 60 jobs as part of the expansion into Clark County.
