Yeti with litter grabberThe Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest beautification program, involving millions of volunteers nationally and hundreds annually in Clark County. The event is held annually by the Clark County Solid Waste District and Keep Clark County Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.

The 2021 Great American Cleanup had more than 540 participants in Clark County. Those volunteers gave over 550 hours of their time and picked up 290 bags of litter from 26 public spaces throughout the county.

Join us to make 2022 an even better year to keep Clark County clean and beautiful!

We’re seeking volunteers to clean up litter and spruce up Clark County from March 20 through June 20, 2022. We provide the volunteers with gloves, trash bags, and disposal of trash, as well as a small token for each participant.

We want your feed bags!

Re-Feed the Bags! The Clark County Solid Waste District and Keep Clark County Beautiful are asking residents to donate used animal feed bags to help us reduce the amount of trash bags being used as part of the 2022 Great American Cleanup, which runs from March 20 through June 20.

With a few simple cuts, the polypropylene feed bags used for all different animals can be reused as trash bags for cleanups this spring. Watch the video below for instructions on how to reuse feed bags as trash bags.
