SPRINGFIELD, OH (July 27, 2021) – The 11th annual Clark County Department of Job and Family Services and Heritage Center of Clark County Summer Sky Festival will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, outside the museum at 117 South Fountain Ave. in Springfield.
“This event is an excellent way for both organizations to interact with and engage children in our community,” said DJFS Director Virginia Martycz.
The free event, designed to raise awareness about adoption in Clark County, is a community family day filled with games, music and activities for children.
The event includes animals from the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, On-The-Rise Petting Zoo, Chiller Hockey to Go, the Bug Man display and Super Games. It will also feature a DJ, a Magic show and crafts.
The event is sponsored by DJFS and the Heritage Center. About 1,500 children and parents attend the annual festival.
In addition to a free meal for participants there will be a school supply give away to first 100 school-age children registered and present.
