SPRINGFIELD, OH (June 23, 2021) – Clark County offices will be closed on Friday, July 2 in observance of the newly-recognized Juneteenth holiday.
The Board of Clark County Commissioners approved the holiday at its meeting on Wednesday, June 23.
“Due to the quick decision by the federal and state governments to make Juneteenth a holiday earlier this month, it was difficult for us to appropriately observe the holiday,” said Clark County Administrator Jennifer Hutchinson. “The Commission and our administrative team felt it was appropriate necessary to provide adequate leave for our employees.”
In addition, Clark County offices will also be closed on Monday, July 5 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Offices will re-open during normal business hours on Tuesday, July 6.
