Common Pleas Clerk’s Office to implement new case management system

The Clerk of Clark County Common Pleas Court Legal Division will be closed Wednesday, June 20 through Friday, June 22 as part of its conversion to a new, grant-funded case management system.

The clerk’s office recently received a $207,000 technology grant from the Supreme Court of Ohio to convert to the CourtView case management system, which is used in several neighboring counties including Champaign and Montgomery counties.

“It’s a truly streamlined, reliable and efficient system,” Clark County Clerk of Common Pleas Court Melissa M. Tuttle said. “It provides for better customer service and quicker case resolutions. We really want to embrace technology and invest in the future.”

The case management system is widely-used throughout the United States including the entire Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Tuttle said. It also provides annual training for employees and updates to fix bugs in the system, Tuttle said.

“We know our customers spend valuable time and resources fulfilling requests from the public for access to Court records,” said Jeffrey Harmon, General Manager for equivant, the owner of the CourtView system. “Clark County’s new solution will free up staff with tailored modules, preferences, parameters, codes and security to support their unique needs.

The clerk’s online case search will be updated until close of business on June 19. The link to the new system will replace the old link the following week once the conversion is completed.

The office, located at the second floor of the Clark County Common Pleas Courthouse, 101 N. Limestone St., Suite 210, will re-open when the new case management system becomes operational on Monday, June 25.

The title offices in both Springfield and New Carlisle will be open during regular business hours.
For time sensitive case filings the Springfield Title Office will be available. All filings will be added the following week to the case management system.
