Luminary designation will recognize citizens who shine bright in Clark County

SPRINGFIELD, OH (JULY 30, 2018) – A recognition program created by the Board of Clark County Commissioners will honor residents who shine bright to better our community each and every day.

The Clark County Luminary designation will be awarded annually to nine residents who serve the community in a big way.

“It doesn't take money or power to enhance the lives of others,” Clark County Commissioner Melanie Flax Wilt said. “We want to celebrate those bright lights in our community – of all ages and walks of life – whose ideas, passion and spirit serve to inspire others and make Clark County a better place.”

The awards will presented to at a Clark County Commission meeting in April, August and December. Each Clark County Commissioner will choose one award winner every three months.

The public is asked to participate in the nomination process. To nominate a Clark County resident as a Luminary, please contact Clark County Public Information Officer Michael Cooper by phone or e-mail (mcooper@clarkcountyohio.gov).
