SPRINGFIELD, OH (JUNE 12, 2018) – A $10,000 renovation project at the Clark County Jail is being completed this summer by the Clark County Building and Grounds department.

It’s the first jail renovation completed by the department in at least a decade, Building and Grounds Director Mike Swank said. The jail was built in 1979.

The project includes updates to cells on all three floors, including painting, plumbing and electrical upgrades.

“The cells were in dire need of a makeover,” Swank said. “As the building continues to age, it’s important we continue to keep it as updated as possible.”

The project is expected to be completed this fall.
