Clark County Celebrates Bicentennial

SPRINGFIELD, OHIO (March 1, 2018) – Clark County will be kicking off its 200 year birthday celebration with a Bicentennial Bash.  The Bash will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 in the Arts and Crafts Building at the Clark County Fairgrounds. 

“On behalf of the Clark County Commission, we are excited to announce this Bicentennial celebration,” said Commission President Richard L. Lohnes.  “It looks like it will be a lot of fun.  We would like to especially thank the Bicentennial Committee whose members are Chairman John Detrick, Betty Grimes, Mike Haubner, Bill Berry, and our Commission Clerk Megan Burr.  We hope to see lots of folks at the Fairgrounds on April 27th for a fun evening to celebrate Clark County’s bicentennial.”

Social hour will begin at 6:00 p.m. with dinner following at 7:00 p.m.  Guests will be visited by Abe Lincoln, Simon Kenton, Ulysses S. Grant, and General Custer.  The Heritage Center of Clark County will have exhibits set up highlighting the last 200 years.  This celebration would not be possible without the support and generosity of Simon Kenton Inn, Ambience Event Design, Pleasant Street Blues Band, Heritage Center of Clark County, Woodruff Farms Farm Fresh Dairy Products and Customized Angus Meats, and The Historic Clark County Fairgrounds.

Tickets can be purchased with cash or check at the Clark County Fairgrounds between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  For further details and information please contact 937-323-3090.
