New Clark County Dog Shelter Opens

SPRINGFIELD, OHIO (August 28, 2017) – The Board of County Commissioners is pleased to announce the opening of the new Clark County Dog Shelter located at 3673 Middle Urbana Road. This facility, which opens on September 1, 2017, will house the Dog Warden’s office and any dogs that have been impounded by the wardens. The Dog Warden’s office cannot accept owner relinquished dogs.

 “The Humane Society has been a significant partner in our mission to protect dogs. It is unfortunate that they are unable to continue housing County dogs,” said Chief Dog Warden Sandi Click. “However, we are happy to have this opportunity to serve the community in a positive manner.”

Clark County would like to thank local veterinarians, Dr. Bruce, Clark County SPCA and Montgomery County for their assistance during this transition.   

The Board of County Commissioners is pleased to announce the opening of the new Clark County Dog Shelter located at 3673 Middle Urbana Road. This facility, which opens on September 1, 2017. The Shelter is Open Mon thru Saturday from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm  (Excluding Holidays). Impound Fees will be $20.00 and  Boarding fees will be $10.00 per day.
